(Germantown) A judge ordered Chris Jones to undergo a mental evaluation during a hearing in Germantown Wednesday night.

Police say he confessed to  killing his wife Heather Palumbo-Jones and dumping her body in a wooded area off Highway 64.

Palumbo Jones was last seen Monday April 15.

Chris Jones told News Channel 3′s Sabrina Hall he had an argument with his estranged wife that evening but told Sabrina, “I never would put my hands on her. I wanted nothing but reconciliation since the day this started.”

He’s in jail on a one million dollar bond.

His next court date is in June.
