Update: One of the four people injured in Saturday’s storms in Hughes, AR has died. The National Weather Service now says an EF-2 tornado hit the area.

(Hughes, AR) The St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office said a possible tornado touched down three miles west of Hughes.

The Sheriff says a 3-year-old was taken to the hospital after the storm ripped a roof off a home on Highway 38.

In the same area, four homes were damaged sending three adults to the hospital.

Nine people are homeless.

Crews worked several hours to remove power lines and debris from the road. The cleanup will start Sunday morning.

National Weather Service will look at the damage Sunday and determine whether a tornado touched down.

A semi truck overturned on I-40 west at mile marker 271.
