MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The City of Memphis has just announced several roads in the Downtown area will be closed or temporarily close beginning July 30.
The closures could last until Monday, August 3rd.
The roads will be closed in order for a TV crew to film scenes for the Cinemax show “Quarry.”
The series is based in Memphis, but was primarily shot in New Orleans due to Louisiana tax incentives.
“Quarry,’ based on a series of novels by Max Allan Collins, is set in the 1970s and focuses on a Marine sniper named Quarry.
Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, 24, The OC, Dark Blue) will play Quarry, who is shunned by his family and the American public when he returns from Vietnam. .
He is then recruited into a network of corrupted killers.
Stellan Skarsgard (Thor, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) is co-starring. Other cast members include Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Die Hard, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World), Noah Taylor (Game of Thrones) and Skip Sudduth (The Good Wife). John Hillcoat (Lawless, The Road) is directing.
