MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The racers have crossed the finish line of the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend, capping off a great fundraising effort of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which met its $8.2 million goal. Here are the top finishers:
  • Marathon (men): Jonathan Autrey of Memphis (2:38:23)
  • Marathon (women): Heather Parks of Bruceton, West Virginia (3:00:20)
  • Marathon (wheelchair): John Payne of Germantown (2:46:14)
  • Half marathon (men): Brandon Dwork of Memphis (1:08:24)
  • Half marathon (women): Jordan Hamric of Morgantown, West Virginia (1:20:34)
  • 5K (women): Lauren Paquette of Memphis (0:16:06)
  • 5K (men): Adam Sommers of Memphis (0:16:23)
About 21,500 people registered for the race weekend, with more than 60 percent of participants coming from outside the Memphis metro area. ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Memphis Runners Track Club worked together to organize the races. “Participants often tell us that running through the campus during St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend is one of their most inspiring and motivating experiences,” said Richard Shadyac Jr., the president and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “They run for a reason — our patients, their families and for those who inspire them.” Visit the St. Jude Marathon website for full results.
