MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Keisha Jones asked, “Is she on a hoverboard?”

Jones was referring to a video going viral online.

The YouTube video shows two praise dancers at the Greater Community Temple COGIC church in Memphis dancing while riding hoverboards.

The video was re-posted by Snoop Dogg, a well-known rapper, on Instagram after getting some negative attention on Facebook.

One person said, “This mockery of praise is an example of falling for anything.”

Another user wrote, “Why must we do the most in church? Dance ministry is already looked at by some as entertainment.”

However, there are some Memphians, like Jones, who see this as a way to get young people involved in something positive.

“I can think of a lot of worse things they can be doing than worshiping the Lord,” Jones said. “I think that’s a good thing. You know? It really is.”

WREG reached out to church leaders and several members, but no one we talked to wanted to comment on the video.
