MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Presidential hopeful John Kasich hosted a town hall meeting at the University of Memphis on Friday.
Over 630 people packed the Holiday Inn to listen to Kasich speak.
He talked about his upbringing and then delved into the country’s spending.
“We can’t keep spending like drunken sailors,” he said to the crowd.
He event touched on healthcare and how the country needed to step up.
“When we all start doing better, we have to make sure everybody has a chance to do better. It’s wrong in our country for the mentally ill to be in prison or sleeping under a bridge. That’s a scar on our country,” he said.
Kasich also talked about gun control and education.
