WREG’s Luke Jones has been working this case all morning and discovered the victim was approached by a man holding a gun. The victim told the man he only had $12, at which time the suspect patted the victim down to make sure he wasn’t lying and then was forced to get inside his car with the suspect.
The suspect asked the man how much money his parents had and if they would pay a ransom. He also said he had been watching the business and thought about taking everyone there hostage.
After a short time, the man was forced to pull over on McLean near Mignon and get out of his car, and the suspect drove off in the man’s car.
Police are looking for the 2012 Ford Escape with Tennessee license plate B1411D and numerous bumper stickers on the rear for various bands.
