MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are searching for a killer after a deadly shooting at a motel on Lamar Avenue.

According to police, it happened Saturday night at the Deluxe Inn in the 3400 block.

One man was pronounced deceased on the scene while a second victim was transported to the Regional Medical Center after showing up with a gunshot wound at a nearby fire station.

A family member identified the second victim as 24-year-old Ticari Keaton.

On April 9, police identified the first victim as Deondre Johnson, 30.

Keaton’s niece told WREG that he was shot multiple times, but that he has undergone surgery, and is expected to be okay.

Authorities said the suspect responsible for the shooting may be known to the victims, but that individual has not been arrested at this time.
