MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting at I-240 eastbound at mile marker 25 in Shelby County, the Memphis Fire Department said.
According to police, two individuals in a truck had just left Downtown Memphis heading south along I-240 when they heard a pop. They initially thought it was a rock hitting the windshield, but later discovered the female in the passenger seat had been grazed by a bullet.
Both victims said they didn’t see the suspect or the vehicle.
The interstate was shutdown for some time as officers looked for evidence.
This is an ongoing investigation.
