Authorities have alleged that Tellis cut her more than 30 times — on her shoulders, face and ears — until she provided her personal identification number. They say Tellis then killed her and left her body to rot.

One person is dead following an early morning shooting in Mississippi.

We reached out to Tellis’ attorney for a comment but have not heard back.

A man accused of killing women in Louisiana and Mississippi is back in northeast Louisiana, where a prosecutor says a grand jury will consider charges in a Taiwanese woman’s stabbing death in 2015.

The jury has reached a verdict in the Jessica Chambers murder trial.

Tellis faces another murder indictment in 2015′s death of Meing-Chen Hsiao in Monroe, Louisiana.

At the start of court Monday morning, the judge made an announcement saying that someone had snuck a phone into the courtroom in Batesville and snapped a picture of the jury.

On this trip, prosecutors and defense attorneys started asking questions, but the judge suddenly interrupted that saying “This is ridiculous. We can’t have court down here.”
