A new parking plan for the Memphis Zoo has been finalized and city officials said Thursday the new design ends overflow parking on the Overton Park Greensward

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A parking plan to end a parking problem at the Memphis Zoo was unveiled Wednesday night.

The protest was peaceful.

Both the Memphis Zoo and the Overton Park Conservancy have to raise $1 million by June 11.

Under the deal, the Zoo and the OPC must split the cost of the remedy, which includes a redesign of the zoo’s existing parking area, among other things.

It’s a celebration of Palestinian culture from music and fashion to food!

“The zoo visitors have been subjected to some pretty hard conditions when they come to the zoo with protesters taunting them. It’s not good for families visiting the zoo and we hope to put that behind us.”
