Bria Jones joined the WREG News Channel 3 team as a reporter in November 2021.
As a Blytheville, Arkansas native who is passionate about connecting with people and telling their stories, she is overjoyed to return to her home market.
Previously, Bria worked as a reporter/fill-in anchor in Flint, Michigan where she extensively covered crime and city government. She also took tough viewer questions to city hall in a bi-weekly show titled “Ask The Mayor.”
Before that, she spent two years as a multi-media journalist in Northeast Louisiana. She started her professional broadcast career developing her news judgment as a digital associate producer in Memphis.
A proud southern belle, Bria spent time growing up between Arkansas, Texas and Tennessee — graduating from Cordova High School in the 901.
While in college at St. John’s University in New York City, she interned at “The Wendy Williams Show,” MTV and VH1.
She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and the National Association of Black Journalists.
