(Memphis) A popular reality show is the latest casualty of the partial government shutdown.
“The Deadliest Catch” crew and their fellow Alaska crabbers are grounded.
With no federal quotas issued, they can’t get a permit to start the crabbing season.
A lot of restaurants who depend on the crabbers will have to tell their dinner guests that crab dishes will be off the menu, at least until the partial government shutdown is over.
Plus, what little crab is in markets will likely be priced very high, since it’s in such short supply.
