(Memphis) Doctors are trying a new treatment to help ovarian cancer patients who are running out of options, heated chemotherapy.

Doctors remove the tumor, then immediately treat the area with the
heated chemotherapy for 60 to 90 minutes.

Doctors think the heat makes the chemotherapy work better and makes the cancer
cells more sensitive to the treatment.

Doctors are testing the treatment on 30 ovarian cancer patients and hope to
have results in the next two to three years.
