David Royer is a former editor and award-winning reporter for newspapers in Memphis, Virginia and Georgia. He is a native of Fisherville, TN and longtime Memphis resident.
He moved into digital journalism while working at The (Memphis) Commercial Appeal, and previously was an adjunct faculty member in the journalism department at his alma mater, The University of Memphis.
He joined the WREG News Channel 3 digital team in 2017 and helped WREG.com become the top digital news source in the Memphis area.
