(Memphis) A school bus was involved in a crash with a car Monday afternoon.

The bus was taking children home from Shelby Oaks Elementary when the wreck occurred at North Shelby Oaks and Raleigh LaGrange.

Nearly 50 elementary students were on the bus.

Three students were checked out by paramedics at the scene. Two of those students were transported to the hospital.

Parents at the scene said they were furious their kids were not taken to the hospital as precaution.

“I’m still going to take him to the hospital to get checked, because I feel like just because it didn’t affect them now, how do you know if a few days they aren’t going to be sore,” said parent Janique Davis.

Another bus picked up the rest of the students and took them to their stops.

Investigators are trying to find out what caused the crash and who was at fault.
