Icons like Elvis Presley and B.B. King helped put Memphis on the musical map. But many women have been very influential in keeping the city’s rich musical heritage alive over the years. And those ladies are being recognized during women’s history month as “Emissaries of Memphis Music”, among the honorees this year, Award-Winning Singer Wendy Moten.
