(Torrance, CA) Honda is issuing a massive recall of 340,000 mini-vans.

Honda is recalling all Odyssey minivans made in 2007 and 2008 because a software problem can cause the vehicle to brake on its own.

The fix involves installing a new sensor, but the sensors won’t be available until the spring of 2014.

Until then, Honda is offering advice to deal with the issue, including asking drivers to start their minivans with the wheels facing straight ahead.

That will allow the system to properly calibrate.
