(Memphis) Singer Tina Turner has given up her U.S. citizenship.
The 74-year-old Tennessee native has lived in Switzerland for nearly 20 years and recently married her long-time boyfriend.
In October, Turner signed a statement waiving her U.S. citizenship.
It also says she doesn’t have any strong ties to the U.S. anymore, except for family members.
She also has no plans to live in the U.S. in the future.
Turner took the oath of Swiss nationality in April.
