(Chicago, IL) More Americans fell behind on their credit card payments in the third quarter.

But credit reporting agency Transunion says the delinquency rate is still near a six-year low.

Overall, credit card debt per borrower is down more than one percent compared to a year ago and Americans are carrying a smaller overall balance on their cards.
