MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis police officer was involved in a car accident Saturday afternoon.
MPD said the officer was on the way to a call and tried to avoid an object in the road on I-240 near Lamar Avenue.
The patrol car lost control and struck an embankment.
The officer was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
