MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police say a man was shot to death in the Medical District Saturday evening.

Officers responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of Union Avenue near Methodist University Hospital at around 5:20 p.m. A man was found lying on his back suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

MPD said that prior to the shooting, a video showed a man approaching the victim and yelling at him. They said the man flashed a gun at the victim and threatened to shoot him.

MPD said the man then got out of the passenger side and started shooting.

Memphis Police say the suspect was last seen running westbound on Union Avenue. They have released the below photos of the suspect and the suspected vehicle. MPD said the suspect was last seen driving southbound on Bellevue.
