(Bartlett, TN) Thousands of people are giving back one last time before the clock strikes midnight. It’s the last day you can apply charitable donations to your 2013 tax returns.

Today, the Goodwill stores were swamped in the Mid-South.

More than 500 people dropped off donations at the Bartlett location.

“This is the busiest year for donation,” said Ralph McIntyre, the Team Leader Coach. “We get a lot of clothes, a lot of shoes, a lot of furniture and toys.”

Every employee was scheduled to help carry in donations and sort through piles.

The drive-through line stretched through the parking lot. Most say tax reductions weren’t the main reason they dropped off some stuff, but Kyle McClung said it is definitely a perk.

“We have had some things that we have been meaning to take, and since it’s the last day of the year, we wanted to get it in this year and decided to come on down,” said McClung.
