MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have released video footage of a person of interest in the death of Shea Grauer on February 18.
Memphis Police initially responded to a shooting on the 1700 block of Lockett Place and when they arrived, found Shea Grauer dead from a gunshot wound.
Police said that investigators are attempting to identify the individual in this video.
Paige Grauer-Taylor hopes this video could be the key Memphis Police detectives need to find out who is responsible for her brother’s death.
“It won’t change, it won’t change anything, it won’t bring Shea back but we hope someone knows something and that they’ll come forward,” Grauer-Taylor said.
While the video isn’t crystal clear, Grauer’s sister hopes someone can think back to that time if they were in the area at a nearby business.
“If they saw someone, if they recognize the way this person walks, if they recognize the clothing, you know if someone stands out,” she said.
Grauer was a beloved father, husband, a well known bartender at The Beauty Shop restaurant in Cooper Young.
The family still mourning another loss. Grauer’s brother Beau was killed in July 2022 was also shot and killed in Midtown. It is not believed that the cases are connected.
“We appreciate the attention that we are getting and my brothers they did know a lot of people and it’s unimaginable for a family to lose a loved one in such a tragic way but then in such a short period of time, two brothers,” Grauer-Taylor said. “Behind every one of these stories, there’s a family, there’s people that are missing someone that have empty chairs at their table. We miss our brothers.”
