What started with a single animal rescue that made news headlines four years ago has turned into a passion for Mario Chiozza.

After saving a dog thrown from a moving car on I-40, he started the Savior Foundation, helping give dogs in need of critical care a second chance at life.

The aptly named Chance is one of those dogs.

He was found on the side of a highway in Fayette County, severely beaten and hogtied with duct tape.

He’s here with owners Tim and Marta Michell.
