(New York, NY) New research shows the country’s high school seniors are not doing enough to get the financial aid they need.

A new study shows two million students could have qualified for federal Pell Grants in 2011.

Out of that group, more than a million qualified for the full $5,600 amount.

But the survey shows most students didn’t apply because they didn’t think they were eligible.

Many students think income level is the only requirement.

But other factors are involved, including the number of family members in college and the cost of tuition.
