Davis Coen is a contemporary country-blues guitarist/singer-songwriter whose recent accomplishments have been daily airplay on XM/Sirius Satellite radio with his ninth full-length album release, titled ‘Get Back In’; inclusion as the featured artist on Dan Aykroyd’s ‘House Of Blues Radio Hour’; and NPR’s ‘Morning Edition’ and ‘World Cafe’ programs. Also his music has appeared on the DVD release of Martin Scorsese’s PBS special ‘The Blues’; the truTV reality TV show ‘Lizard Lick Towing’ , and on the DVD documentary about the music of the late-great Hill Country Mississippi blues matriarch Jesse Mae Hemphill, titled ‘Dare You To Do It Again’.
His latest album ‘Get Back In’ was recorded at Black Wing Studio in Water Valley, Mississippi in 2013 has charted on both Roots Country and Blues radio charts. His rhythm section ‘The Change’ has accompanied Davis on several live performances of note; most recently the ‘King Biscuit Blues Festival’ in Helena, Arkansas, and for a headlining slot at the Louisville Blues Festival in Kentucky.
