GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Gibson County attorney has been indicted after being accused of tampering with evidence in a murder investigation involving her son.

A grand jury indicted Edythe “Didi” Christie and her son John Christie this week.

John Christie faces charges of killing his wife in April and staging her death to look like an overdose at the “Old Hickory Inn” in Jackson, Tennessee.

His mother Edythe faces charges of helping him get rid of some of the evidence.

For now, her Law License remains unaffected.

The State Bar says “she’s still considered an active attorney, pending the outcome of the case”.
