MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two separate overnight shootings left one woman dead and a man critically injured, Memphis Police say.
One occurred outside of Wesley Stage Park Senior Apartments on Battle Creek Drive in Raleigh.
Officers found a female dead inside of her car.
A resident at the facility told us they knew of the victim. “She was a nice lady as far as I know,” the neighbor said. “I used to see her walking every day around through here. I don’t know what she was out here doing this morning. I have no idea. I did not know her personally.”
According to the Memphis Data Hub, there have been 11 incidents – including assault – within a quarter mile of the facility.
Another citizen told us MPD might have a hard time solving the crime. “The cameras are not working,” he said.
There is no suspect information at this time.

The second shooting happened in the Binghamton area. A male victim was found in the 100 block of Scott Street.
He was taken to Regional One in critical condition.

The shooting happened in the 300 block of Scott Street. Officers were focused on a dark-colored sedan and said the victim knew the suspect.
