(Tunica County, MS) A Hernando woman was found murdered on a Mississippi Highway early this morning. It is the second roadway shooting in north Mississippi this week.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol says 47-year-old Lori Carswell was found dead along Mississippi Highway 713 near the end of Interstate 69 around 2:20 a.m.
Her car was found nearby.
So far investigators have not named any suspects nor connected this incident to another shooting this week.
Tuesday, a Nebraska man was found shot to death along I-55 near the Pope, MS exit in Panola County.
