NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. — A new survey says Americans aren’t prioritizing when it comes to saving for a rainy day.
Bankrate finds 41 percent of Americans are focused on paying living expenses and staying current on bills, 22 percent consider paying down debt their top financial priority, and only 17 percent say they are focused on saving money.
Experts say it’s dangerous and risky to focus too much on the immediate expenses at the expense of a long-term savings plan.
