PANOLA COUNTY, Miss. — Friends, family, and Panola County community members attended Jessica Chambers’ visitation Friday night, telling WREG they want anyone with information about her death to contact authorities.

The 19-year-old was fatally lit on fire along Herron Road last weekend.

Six days later, the district attorney confirmed there are no new updates. Multiple agencies are working on the investigation, and they have interviewed many people, but there are still no clear-cut suspects.

“They just don’t realize how they’ve messed up people’s lives. You know, they took something from me that God give me that can’t nobody replace,” Jessica’s father, Ben, said.

Many of Jessica’s former classmates at South Panola High School attended the visitation. A group of them made t-shirts with her picture that they’re selling online to remember her.

That group shared their message to WREG.

“Anybody with any type of information on Jessica to come forward please,” friend Heather Parker said.

Chambers’ funeral is Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville.

The Chambers family is asking that any memorials be sent to Renasant Bank in Batesville.
