MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police locked up a man and two teenage girls after a skating rink brawl that led to a woman’s house being shot.

De’Arious Harris is facing charges for aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. The two teenage girls, who are 15 and 16 years old, also face assault charges.

The video that shows a group of teens fighting at Crystal Palace, WREG first told you about on Tuesday, brought police out in force.

“They pulled up like it was a felony arrest and surrounded the house,” Jack Jones, who lives next door to Harris, said.

Police arrested Harris Tuesday night and accused him of opening fire on one of the fight victim’s houses after the altercation.

According to the police report, Harris confessed to the shooting.

“I’m sure they’ve got a punishment already in line if he’s found guilty, but that’s a big if in my book,” Jones told WREG. “But I don’t know. I don’t know though. You can’t judge people nowadays.”

The two girls police arrested were allegedly involved in the brawl. One of the teens had a detention hearing Wednesday in Juvenile Court. The girl’s parents showed up, and her mother left the courtroom crying after the judge decided to detain the suspect.

The judge told the state he wanted to hear from an officer about the teen admitting to knowing about the shooting at the victim’s home before he decides to lock up the girl until trial.

One of the teens is expected back in juvenile court Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m.

Harris will have a video arraignment on Thursday.
