PANOLA COUNTY, Miss. — Panola County deputies took a bank robbery suspect into custody about an hour after the crime occurred Monday.
A man robbed the Renasant Bank in Batesville at about 1:30 p.m., then escaped and broke into a woman’s house to change clothes. No one was injured.
Authorities have recovered the money bag, and are still searching for a gun possibly used during the robbery.
Investigators have not yet determined if a second person was involved.
