MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 700 of North Hollywood Saturday night.

The shooting in North Memphis happened between two men arguing around 8pm Saturday night.

Investigators say the confrontation started in the 600 block of McConnell Street when a homeowner saw someone walking around his garage and confronted the guy and proceeded to chase him.

The homeowner’s wife told police she drove around looking for her husband and found the man beating her husband blocks away on North Hollywood Road.

Investigators also say the victim’s wife repeatedly asked the man to stop, and when he didn’t, they say she fired several shots, killing the attacker and injuring her husband.

Police have not identified the deceased victim.

So far, no charges have been filed.
