Much of the Mid-South will be under either a Winter Storm Warning or a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 a.m. to midnight.
The Winter Storm Warning includes all of north Mississippi, areas of central Arkansas, and parts of southwest Tennessee, while the Winter Weather Advisory is for parts of east central Arkansas and west Tennessee.
The National Weather Service reports the possibility of more than 6 inches of snow in some areas and sleet, which may impact road conditions.
Shelby County Public Works says its trucks will put brine on roads in unincorporated areas before the winter weather arrives.
