MEMPHIS, Tenn. — On Monday, two men were honored by Commissioner Mickell Lowery for their heroism during a shooting on I-240 last Tuesday.
During a road rage incident on I-240 that resulted in a father and his four children being shot, Marcus Ross and Diamond Holder stepped in to help the victims.
In a social media post made by Commissioner Lowery, he praised the duo for bravely helping remove the shooting victims from their cars and not only putting them into their own vehicles but also taking the family to the hospital.

As of June 13, the father was released from the hospital and two of the four children were “close” to being released from the hospital according to Assistant Police Chief Don Crowe.
“Thanks again to Marcus and Diamond for (their) selfless act of bravery and compassion,” Commissioner Lowery said.
