MEMPHIS, Tenn-Three men are in jail and accused of changing up gift cards and debit cards to buy items on other’s people’s dimes.

When officers responded to a theft call at a gas station on Winchester in Whitehaven, they found several stolen cards in the suspects’ vehicle.

“That’s just ridiculous that’s wrong, that’s just wrong,” said Marcus Harris.

Everyone we spoke to says the three men Alex Alive, Igor Korsuntev and Eduardo Krasilnikov who are from Brooklyn, New York are right where they belong.

Korsuntsev tried to buy more than $100.00 worth of merchandise with an altered debit card.

“Really makes me think about identity theft and you know how people will go to any lengths to do things,” said Melvin Mylum.

Alive even handed over four altered gift cards to police when they asked him if he had any debit cards in his possession.

According to an affidavit, officers found more evidence in the men’s car. Several debit cards were sticking out of the air conditioning vents. A total of 100 altered debit and gift cards were inside

The men are expected to go before a judge Thursday. They’re charged with identity theft trafficking.
