SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — The suspect accused of firing shots on Bolton High School’s campus this week was arrested Saturday morning.

Twenty-year-old Daron Childress was arrested for firing shots in the school’s parking lot.

Officers say Childress shot numerous times into the air as several people began fighting.

Childress admitted to firing several shots to scare off the other students.

He was later found at his mother’s home and was arrested.

No one was injured during the shooting.

An MPD report revealed the gun was taken in a robbery in February.

Daron Childress was charged with Reckless Endangerment with a deadly weapon on school grounds.
