MEMPHIS, Tenn. — During a press conference at the New Daisy Theatre on Wednesday, it was announced the East Beale Street Development Project will be partnering with Live Nation, a world-wide leader in live music.

The main goal is to bring in top acts from around the country to perform here in Memphis, and restore the city to its former place of glory in music.

Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell believes the partnership is a good one.

“This is  good day for downtown Memphis.” he proclaimed.  “It adds value for all of us.”

JW Gibson from the East Beale Street Development Project agreed.

“[Live Nation] will take this historic building to a whole new level.” he said.

Live Nation produces over 20 concerts a year that reaches 60 million people in 33 countries.

Some of the artist Live Nation has worked with include Prince, Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, Imagine Dragons and Lorde.
