(Memphis) A Memphis mom was charged with reckless endangerment after her baby girl was born with cocaine in her system.

Police say 29-year-old Lavare White admitted to using cocaine after she tested positive for cocaine as well.

The baby was born on April 14 at the MED.

Police say White told a Department of Child Services case worker that she had used cocaine just two days before the birth.

Police say medical screenings showed the newborn at high risk for withdrawal symptoms.

DCS said last month, it took custody of the infant and White’s other three children while it conducted an investigation.

The children were later returned.

White was arrested yesterday at her apartment in Frayser.

Police have not said where the children are now.
