MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Spring is here and it’s evident with the return of the Memphis Farmers Market.

South Main businesses said it’s a band-aid after a slow winter.

Not only has the farmers market always been a great way to stock up on your veggies, but it’s also a boost to the  south side of Downtown Memphis.

“We’ve really become a destination. It benefits the shoppers and the farmers,”said Allison Cook the Executive Director of the Downtown Farmers Market.

And local store owners paid attention to the trend.

Jean Andrus at the Book Juggler said she plans all of the book signings for Saturday’s.

“So that as the farmers market is ending people can come over here and enjoy,”she said.
