MOSCOW, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into a police involved shooting.

Around 3:50 a.m., a Moscow police officer shot a man in the Gurkins Market parking lot at the intersection of Hwy 57 and Hwy 176.

According to the TBI, a Moscow police officer stopped Mark Luellen, 61, after seeing the man weaving and driving under ‘well under the posted speed limit.’

The officer went to arrest Luellen, who had an active arrest warrant in Hardeman County, when a witnesses said Lullen put the car in reverse hitting the officer with an open car door.

The witness said Luellen then started to drive at the police officer who fired one shot through the windshield.

Luellen was hit, but kept driving until he went off the road and hit a utility pole.

Luellen is at the Regional Medical Center, his condition is not known.
