MEMPHIS, Tenn. —  Southern Airways announced on Wednesday the airline added non-stop flight service from New Orleans to Memphis to its list of destinations.

The flights are scheduled to begin May 26.

“Southern Airways is the nation’s only air carrier to offer non-stop service between New Orleans and Memphis,” said Chairman and CEO Stan Little. “Southern is likewise the only option for non-stops from either of those cities to the Florida Panhandle. We look forward to welcoming New Orleanians aboard these exclusive flights for their business travels and their summer vacations.”

Memphians are sure to love the travel option too after Delta cancelled continuous flights between the two cities back in 2014.

The airline said popular demand and overwhelming requests led them to restore the service.

Right now, the company said flight on this route will operate five days a week.
