MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis firefighter is recovering from minor injuries he suffered while battling a house fire overnight.

The fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. Friday at a vacant house in the 2700 block of West Redbud Circle — near Semmes & Lamar.

MFD officials told us the firefighter was treated on the scene — but they didn’t go into details about how he was injured.

He is the fourth MFD firefighter to be injured on the job this week.

On Thursday, a firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion after battling a fire on Kendale in South Memphis.

Another firefighter suffered a knee injury Wednesday while fighting a fire at an abandoned apartment building in Orange Mound.

And on Monday, a firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion and low blood pressure on the scene of a house fire on Railton Road in East Memphis.
