Trumann, Ark. — A four-year-old reported missing nearly a year ago is back home.
Early Tuesday, Alyssa Lee was reunited with her father.
Police told WREG, Christine Flick took the girl when she lost custody in Jonesboro in July of 2014.
It wasn’t until this past Sunday that they finally caught up with her.
According to police, Flick was wanted on unrelated theft charges in Trumann, Arkansas.
Police in Millington encountered and arrested her.
Trumann officers picked her up from the jail Monday.
Jonesboro investigators spent Monday night questioning Flick about her daughter’s whereabouts, but told WREG she wasn’t cooperating.
Flick was apparently living at Donald Stewart’s house in Millington.
When questioned about little Alyssa’s whereabouts, Stewart told police, “her kid is in Arkansas.”
Stewart said he met Flick and her daughter at a Millington laundromat a couple of weeks ago and agreed to let them park their camper in his back yard, not knowing Flick was wanted and her daughter was reported missing.
“She was playful, and she played and everything else. Didn’t seem like she was in any harm,” said Stewart.
Flick told Stewart she took Alyssa to Arkansas Saturday just hours before police showed up to her home after getting a tip.
“She said, ‘Here I am!’ She came to the door peaceful,” said Stewart.
Alyssa’s father reported her missing after he gained temporary custody.
He told WREG on the phone he was devastated not knowing where his little girl was.
Other people who lived in the Stewart’s neighborhood said they were sick about it too, because Alyssa played with their kids, and the mother went by another name.
“She told us her name was Andrea Glass,” said Kelly Harmon.
Christine Flick is set to appear in court Wednesday.
