HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Hattiesburg Police confirmed the weapon that was used to kill two officers was recovered.

They told WREG a maintenance crew found the  .40 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun while cutting grass.

The Crime Laboratory confirmed it was the gun used to kill officers Liquori Tate and Benjamin Deen.
