MEMPHIS, Tenn. —  A car crash claimed the life of an 18-year-old and left two others injured on Friday. According to officials, that accident happened at Silver and Ethlyn around 10 a.m. Investigators said a black Honda Accord driven by 21-year-old Camesha Lawrence was traveling eastbound on Ethlyn when it came to a stop sign. As it was crossing over Silver, a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria hit the driver side. Police told WREG that the car was driven by Martaz Paige and had the right of way. Tragically, Kanisha Clarke was killed in the accident. She was in the back of the Honda when it was stuck. Clarke later died at Regional Medical Center. Family members told WREG that Kanisha attended Hamilton High School and had just graduated. Both drivers were arrested after police discovered neither of them had a valid license or insurance. Lawrence was charged with Failure to Yield Right of Way Resulting in Death, No Drivers License and Financial Responsibility Law. Paige was charged with Driving on a Suspended License and Financial Responsibility.
