Lafayette’s Chef Jody Moyt stopped by the cooking set with just the thing to make your husband or father feel like a king!

 

Lafayettes  Father of the year

 

 

Elvis French Toast
3 slices of home made banana bread (1/2 inch thick)
2 whole eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tbl clarified butter
1 pat whole butter
1/2 banana
2 tbl peanut butter caramel
1 tsp powdered sugar
1 tbl caramelized pecans

1) Whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
2) Dip banana bread in the egg mixture and coat completely.
3) Heat a large skillet or griddle, season with clarified butter, and sear the toast until golden brown.
4) Meanwhile slice the banana and saute in the whole butter.
5) Fan out the toast on a plate, top with bananas, drizzle with caramel, dust with powdered sugar, and top with the pecans.
