MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The standoff between the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and a man in the Waverly Farms subdivision has ended.

According to reports, they were able to remove him without incident.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office originally told WREG it was in a standoff with a mental patient inside one of the homes on Wagon Hill Street.

That man was threatening to harm himself.

The streets in the area were blocked off to traffic, but should be reopened soon.

We don’t know what caused the incident.
